Brooklyn-based sound system collective and label Dub-Stuy brings a ground-shaking lineup to the first Echo Chamber club night of 2018. Heading up the notoriously riotous party are Sam Binga from Bristol and Fracture from London, two UK producers and DJs who have helped redefine and evolve UK bass music in the past five years. Backing up this energy-raising duo will be Long Island producer Blind Prophet, fresh from a 12” release on Dub-Stuy, local bass DJ Anna Morgan and hosts Dub-Stuy Sound.

Sam Binga and Fracture will make their welcomed return bringing with them the deliriously energetic blend of fast dance music they’ve become known for. Pulling from Chicago footwork, classic jungle, hip-hop, dancehall and their roots in breakbeat-driven drum & bass, both producers have been at the forefront of revitalizing one of the UK’s oldest dance music genre with releases on Metalheadz, Exit Records, Critical and 50 Weapons to name a few. Bristol’s Sam Binga brings the rowdy vibes with dancehall and hip-hop inflections and vocals, including his many collaborations with MCs Rider Shafique and Redders. Fracture meanwhile is the one to turn to for intricate breakbeats and rhythm frenzy, a sound he’s not only perfected across solo releases and collaborations with Kid Drama, Om Unit, DJ Earl and Chimpo but also fosters on his Astrophonica label.

Making his official debut on the Dub-Stuy sound system is Blind Prophet, a Long Island-based producer whose reflective and melodic take on dub and garage have landed him releases on Zam Zam Sounds and Dub-Stuy, where he dropped a 12” featuring Russian singer Tenor Youthman in autumn 2017.

Native New Yorker Anna Morgan is known for her urban, bass-heavy, globally influenced sound. As Co-Founder of underground NYC multi-genre night, HEAVY, and with her residency’s with eclectic global bass art collective The JunXion, and Brooklyn breaks party Vitamin B, she’s a fixture in the NYC bass music community.

Dub-Stuy Sound completes the lineup and will come prepared to rep Brooklyn with a bag of dubs, exclusives and classics from the label’s growing archive. Expect a night of roller-coaster beats and wild bass sounds broadcast crisply through Dub-Stuy’s own custom-built 15,000 watt rig.
